(173) Dinosaur Small World - Part 2

I posted a picture of Mitchell playing with this small world a couple weeks ago.  When I first put this together I couldn't have imagined how popular it would be with both Mitchell and Maya.  I simply cut apart a large box we got from an amazon order and started making a dinosaur area.  The fake grass and rocks I already had on hand from a fairy house that never happened (oops).  Mitchell requested the lake and fish for the dinosaurs.  He also requested the volcano.
For about a week the volcano was just aluminum foil.  I still have the intention of making it truly erupt, but Maya used her imagination and made some lava out of clay.  She also made the octopus in the water.
I'm most proud of Maya's creation of a boy and girl.  She made these tonight after dinner.  She was working hard while Mitchell played some and watched.  I'm so impressed.

I'm not sure how long the dinosaurs will live on the dining room table, but I have a feeling it will be at least a couple more weeks.  And when they eventually go extinct, I have the other side of the box for another type of small world.  The fun just never ends!

(153) Maya's Magical Play Space

This is what happens when Maya is in charge of "Baby School."  She calls this her "Magical Play Space."

(152) Sitting Up

How is this possible already?

(151) High Chair

In March, Cameron started using a new type of paci and sitting in the high chair.  He also started solid foods.  He is already a pro at eating off of a spoon.  They even laugh at school saying he eats like he is a year old.  So far he has had sweet potatoes and bananas.  This kid doesn't miss a meal.

(150) April 1

Woo-hoo!!!  It's April!  That means the photo challenge is over.  I learned my lesson.  I will never do that again on this blog.  Half of my pictures don't even match the title and it was so hard to remember.  Here's to a fresh start and doing my own thing!

I can't even pretend this has anything at all to do with sunset...
